From Lazy Beach Days to Rome’s Best Yoga Studios
September sneaks in with sunscreen still in your bag and sand in your shoes. After those last dreamy weeks by the sea, shifting back into a structured work rhythm can feel... a bit rough. Good news: yoga studios in Rome are your gentle way back. They’ll ease you out of lounge mode and into a grounded, community-filled routine. Let’s go from lazy mornings to mindful movement and meet your local yoga allies.
Join the Let's Meet in Rome Slack Community here — we’ve got a #yoga_meditation_mindfulness channel where locals, digital nomads, and expats plan yoga meetups and share wellness tips across the city. This is your mat-side crew!

Zem Yoga Studio Roma
📍Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 184 (Campo de’ Fiori / Piazza Navona)
Zem is a sanctuary in the city center where you actually feel seen. The teachers are well-trained, welcoming, and genuinely present. Whether you're sliding into a Slow Flow or getting sweaty with a Heated Vinyasa, the energy of the space makes every class feel intentional and personal.
Classes include everything from Vinyasa to heated sessions, restorative to mindful movement styles. The variety is great, but what really stands out is the connection between teacher and student, between breath and body, and between everyone in the room.
"[...] The location is central, the space clean and beautiful. Scheduling was easy and rates reasonable. And Megan is fantastic- warm, welcoming, clear in instruction and a perfect balancer of challenge and support- a natural teacher and guide. I could not recommend Zem and particularly Megan more highly."

Personal note: I first connected with Zem through their Karma Yogi volunteering program, and it’s been a heart-opening community experience. You don’t just show up to a class: you show up and belong.
Local tip: The studio’s right near Piazza Navona, so grab a post-class juice at Vivi Bistrot or a glass of wine at Enoteca Il Piccolo.

" [...] They provide classes on variety of yoga practices, including meditation (once a month workshops) healing through sound, yoga for stress, etc. In every class the teacher provides several varieties for each asana (for beginners, intermediate and advanced students). Great choice to begin or continue your yoga journey!"

AURA Sacred Space
📍Via degli Ombrellari, 44 (Prati, near the Vatican)
Aura Sacred Space is one of those rare places that feels both brand new and instantly familiar. Located near the Vatican, the studio blends modern design with a serene, light-filled interior that makes it easy to drop in and truly tune out. Teachers come from diverse international backgrounds, each bringing a distinct energy to classes, from classic flows to immersive sound baths and community events.
Classes are accessible for all levels, and the energy is deeply inclusive. Beginners feel gently supported, while seasoned yogis appreciate the depth and precision of the teaching.
"Aura Sacred Space is a beautiful yoga studio close to the Vatican situated in the Prati, Borgo Pio neighborhood. They have an array of classes designed for all levels of Yoga. The sound bath with Cairo Toscano is an experience not to be missed! Her approach with sound & voice was gentle and transformative. Afterwards I felt as if I had slept for hours on a bed of clouds. What a special place to discover for yoga aficionados of Rome and all visitors."
